About Jen, a NH Doula

Jennifer has been supporting families in their childbearing years for over three years in New Hampshire as a doula. Her desire to help families prepare for the changes that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can bring started with the births of her own children. However, she first begun her birth worker journey when she started observing childbirth classes in college.

An english major in college, Jen has always been passionate about writing and blogging. She started A Doula Perspective after years of wanting to connect with other moms and tell the truth about pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood.

Jen lives in Manchester, NH, with her husband and two young sons. She also moonlights as a tote bag designer and social media marketer.

A NH Doula Promise

A Doula Perspective

Here we promise to tell the truth about pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood.  A Doula Perspective was started after I realized that there was a need for honest blogging, from my perspective as a doula in New Hampshire.  Being a NH doula shapes how I support families in childbirth education, in the labor room, and postpartum.  But it also shapes the way I mother my children.  For after all, aren’t we all doulas in how we support each other?

Follow me as I deal with the struggles and triumphs of raising my kids, supporting expectant parents, and in the labor room.  Peppered with bits of factual information and how-to’s, I promise to shed some light on how we can all grow as parents, people, friends, and wannabe doulas.
